Camp Alice Pittenger (CAP) is a cherished Girl Scout camp located on the shores of Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho. Established over 80 years ago, it has been a cornerstone of outdoor experiences for Girl Scouts in the region.

The camp is named in honor of Alice Pittenger, a prominent Boise resident and dedicated Girl Scout volunteer. Beyond her contributions to the Girl Scouts, Dr. Pittenger was instrumental in founding the Children's Home Society of Idaho, reflecting her deep commitment to the welfare of children in the state.

Spanning 53 acres, CAP offers a variety of facilities and programs designed to provide enriching outdoor experiences. The camp features a lodge overlooking Driftwood Cove, equipped with a commercial kitchen that can serve up to 100 people. Accommodations include several cabins with electricity, such as the O'Conner McFarland House, Mildred Cabin, Cook's Cabin, and Gill's Cabin, each offering unique amenities to cater to different group sizes and needs.

Over the decades, Camp Alice Pittenger has maintained deep traditions that continue to draw Girl Scouts back year after year, with some families participating for multiple generations. The camp offers activities like canoeing, swimming, low ropes courses, and archery, fostering personal growth, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors among its campers.

Today, Camp Alice Pittenger remains an integral part of the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council, continuing its mission to empower young girls through outdoor adventures and leadership opportunities.
