Leku Ona, which means "good place" in Basque, is a notable restaurant and boutique hotel located in Boise's historic Basque Block. Established in late 2005 by José María Artiach, a first-generation Basque immigrant and former sheepherder, the establishment aims to share authentic Basque cuisine and culture with the Boise community.

The building housing Leku Ona has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. Originally, it functioned as the Belaustegui boarding house from 1918 to 1935 at a different location before moving to its current site on South 6th Street in 1935. At that time, the Belaustegui family also operated the Chico Club within the boarding house, serving traditional Basque meals and providing a social gathering space for both Basque immigrants and the broader community.

Today, Leku Ona continues this legacy by offering traditional Basque dishes in a setting that reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Basque people. The establishment also provides banquet services and, although the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, it has historically offered accommodations that echo the building's original purpose as a boarding house.
